Dr. Pamela Bernard
Dr. Bernard is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry and received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from The University of Akron. She originally hails from Northeastern Ohio, but moved to Loveland, OH in 1994. In addition to her general and contact lens practice she offers the latest in medical treatment of diseases of the anterior segment including glaucoma and ocular infections. She performs corneal refractive therapy, an exciting non-surgical way to correct nearsightedness, and offers full refractive surgery consultation with pre- and post-surgical co-management. Dr. Bernard has studied American Sign Language and is interested in ensuring access to vision care for the Deaf. She also serves as a staff optometrist at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center providing full spectrum vision care to our veterans. According to Dr. Bernard, “My varied experience has made me realize that more than offering great vision care, I enjoy educating my patients about how their overall wellness is linked to their vision.” Dr. Bernard resides in Loveland with her husband, two dogs and cat. She is member of Good Shepherd Church and volunteers as a tutor at St. Rita School for the Deaf.
Dr. Cheryl Ricer
Dr. Ricer is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry. In addition, she has completed a two-year residency and masters program in Cornea and Contact Lenses at OSU. Dr. Ricer has a special interest in fitting the “hard-to-fit” patient with contact lenses including patients with astigmatism, who need bifocals and have corneal derformities. She offers pre-surgical consultation and post-surgical care for LASIK refractive surgery and is happy to relate her personal experience and success with LASIK. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Cincinnati Optometric Association. She resides in Symmes Township with her husband and various pets. She enjoys travelling, knitting, reading and spending time with her two granddaughters.
Dr. Kayla Flaig
Dr. Kayla Flaig is originally from Montpelier, Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology from Miami University. She graduated with her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Ohio State University in 2010 with Magna Cum Laude honors. While in professional school, Dr. Flaig was awarded the Binocular Vision and Pediatrics Clinical Excellence Award. She also was an active member of the American Optometric Student Association
and Epsilon Psi Epsilon fraternity.Dr. Flaig specializes in fitting contact lenses for unique patients including: astigmatics,
keratoconics, presbyopes (bifocals) and a non-permanent, reversible form of Lasik called Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT).
Dr. Flaig is confident in this non-surgical vision correction and she uses CRT lenses herself.
Dr. Flaig is currently a member of the Ohio Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She resides in Loveland, Ohio with her husband Jeff, and three children Casey, Mitchell and Andi. Dr Flaig loves to spend time at the lake with her family wakeboarding in the summer and doing just about anything outdoors!
